Audacity's first production, in the traditional sense of the word, was one of the seminal works of the twentieth century, Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT. Originally planned as an outdoor performance at a suburban amphitheatre, midway through the run harsh rain forced the production to an indoor contingency site, the stage of a local high school auditorium.
With a twisted industrial circus/carnival aesthetic, this production emphasized the bleak desperation, isolation and absurdist aspects of Beckett's great tragicomic play.
Performed with Permission from Samuel French Publishing.
